The Refrigeration business helps improve the transport and shipping of temperature-controlled cargoes with a complete line of equipment and services for refrigerated transport and cold chain visibility. For more than 40 years, Carrier Transicold and Refrigeration Systems has been an industry leader, providing customers around the world with the most advanced, energy efficient and environmentally sustainable container refrigeration systems and generator sets, direct-drive and diesel truck units and trailer refrigeration systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Associate Director, E-Solutions Strategy and Program Management will play an integral role in defining and implementing Refrigeration's Digital/ IoT strategic priorities. You will manage strategic projects in the exciting areas of digital/ E-solutions/ IoT that are geared towards addressing critical needs of our customers and driving exceptional customer satisfaction (our customers span across supermarkets, grocery retailers, pharma manufacturers, truck fleet operators, logistics providers, food/ grocery distributors, quick serve restaurants). You will manage cross-functional teams with an agile, efficient approach to drive fast time-to-market, which is critical in this fast-evolving space.

The ideal candidate is an individual who is an analytical big-picture thinker and is passionate about leveraging technology to make big improvements (e.g., eliminating food loss in the cold chain, ensuring safety/ quality of life-saving vaccines and drugs). Someone who is self-motivated, has a sense of urgency to deliver programs on-time on-budget, isn't afraid to speak their mind and is equally adept at understanding/ managing technical details and keeping the big-picture in mind.

Roles and responsibilities span 2 key areas:

1.Strategy Definition: Define strategies and business cases for Digital/ E-solutions/ Internet of Things (IoT) opportunities across Refrigeration businesses

2.Program Management: Manage and drive cross-functional coordination for a select set of high-priority programs, such as E-Solutions/ Telematics/ Remote Monitoring

Strategy Definition:

Lead and coordinate development of overall Digital priorities by identifying market opportunities, articulating target customers and value proposition, analyzing the opportunity potential (size/ growth/ profitability), developing business case and executable plans for prioritized opportunities.

•Identify opportunities and articulate value proposition through the lens of how Digital/ IoT enabled solutions can help us better serve our customer's current and future needs in the various industries. This key step will require closely working with our businesses to understand/ envision future customer needs. Therefore, a critical requirement is for the individual in this role to be comfortable creating and working in a highly collaborative environment

•Analyze opportunities and develop compelling business cases. This will (most importantly) require an intellectual curiosity to uncover/ analyze key commercial and technical issues for our customers and using a creative approach to formulate Digital/ IoT enabled solutions. The individual should be comfortable with conducting market research, monitoring competitive/ startup activity, formulating hypotheses, synthesizing insights (from quantitative and qualitative information available) and developing quantitative/ Excel models (e.g., reverse P&L) to articulate the business case

•Synthesize information and data to create compelling presentations that focus on the most critical elements of information to help senior management make decisions (quickly and efficiently) and align key stakeholders on the strategy/ plans

Program Management:

For the most-critical program (/s) identified by leadership, develop end-to-end plans required to bring products/ solutions from concept to market launch. E.g., clearly defined goals/ deliverables, timelines, key milestones, owners, risks/ interdependencies.

•Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across functions such as product management, sales, marketing, operations, finance, legal and business development to get the work done

•Ensure programs are on-time and on-budget

•Communicate regular updates and ensure any issues/ challenges are efficiently and effectively escalated and addressed

•Drive key processes and identify opportunities to improve processes

•Serve as a change agent in the organization, to constantly elevate the importance of Digital/ IoT solutions for our customers
